688 — Abū Saīd al-Hasan ibn Alī al-Jassās and Abū Abd Allah ⦗1116⦘ Muhammad ibn Makhlad al-Attār narrated to us. They both said: Al-Hasan ibn Arafa narrated to us: Khalaf ibn Khalīfa narrated to us, from Humayd al-Araj, from Abd Allah ibn al-Hārith, from Abd Allah ibn Masūd, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“When Allah, Mighty and Majestic, spoke to Moses, peace be upon him, he was wearing a woolen tunic, a woolen cap, and a woolen cloak, and was carrying a shepherd’s staff. His sandals were made from the hide of a donkey that had not been ritually slaughtered.”
