653—Abū al-Fadl Jaʿfar ibn Muhammad al-Sandalī narrated to us: al-Fadl ibn Ziyād narrated to us: I heard Abū Abd Allāh Ahmad ibn Hanbal say: Mālik ibn Anas said, “Allah—Glorious and Exalted is He—is above the heaven, and His knowledge is everywhere; no place is devoid of His knowledge.” I asked, “Who reported this to you from Mālik?” He replied, “I heard it from Surayj ibn al-Nuʿmān, from Abd Allāh ibn Nāfiʿ.”
٦٥٣ - وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّنْدَلِيُّ قَالَ: نا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ , سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلٍ يَقُولُ: قَالَ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ: «اللَّهُ ﷿ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَعِلْمُهُ فِي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ لَا يَخْلُو مِنْهُ مَكَانٌ» فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ أَخْبَرَكَ عَنْ مَالِكٍ بِهَذَا؟ فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ سُرَيْجِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ
