630 — Abū al-Qāsim ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azīz al-Baghawī narrated to us, saying: Mus‘ab ibn ‘Abd Allah al-Zubayrī narrated to us, saying: Mālik ibn Anas narrated to us, from Abū al-Zinād, from al-A‘raj, from Abū Hurayra, that the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said: “Our Lord—Glorified and Exalted—laughs at two men: one of them fights the other, yet both enter Paradise. The first fights ⦗1053⦘ in the cause of Allah Most High and is killed. Allah—Glorified and Exalted—then accepts the killer’s repentance, and he fights in the cause of Allah and is martyred.”
