628—Abū Abd Allāh Muhammad ibn Makhlad al-Attār narrated to us, saying: Abū Dāwūd al-Sijistānī narrated to us, saying: I heard Ahmad ibn Hanbal when he was asked about a man who had narrated a report from another man, from Abū al-Atūf, to the effect that Allah—Glorified and Exalted—will not be seen in the Hereafter. He said, “May Allah curse whoever narrates this report!” Then he said, “May Allah disgrace this man!”
