617 — Abū Muhammad Yahyā ibn Muhammad ibn Sā'id also narrated to us, saying: al-Husayn ibn al-Hasan al-Marwazī narrated to us, saying: Marwān ibn Muāwiya narrated to us, saying: al-Hakam ibn Abī Khālid narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from Jābir ibn Abd Allah—may Allah be pleased with him—who said:

“When the people of Paradise enter Paradise and honor is bestowed upon them continually, horses made of red ruby will come to them. They will have wings and will neither urinate nor defecate. They will mount them and then come before the All-Compelling—majestic is His glory. When He reveals Himself to them, they will fall prostrate before Him. The All-Compelling—majestic is His glory—will say, ‘O ⦗1030⦘ people of Paradise, raise your heads. I am pleased with you, with a pleasure never to be followed by wrath. O people of Paradise, raise your heads. This is not an abode of deeds; it is only an abode of permanent residence and bliss.’

“He said: They will raise their heads, and Allah—majestic is His glory—will shower them with perfume. They will return to their families, passing by dunes of musk. Allah—majestic is His glory—will send a wind over those dunes, stirring the musk into their faces, until they return to their families while they and their horses—he mentioned a word—are saturated with musk.”
