602 – Abū Bakr ibn Abd al-Hamīd al-Wāsitī narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Wahhāb ibn Abd al-Hakam al-Warrāq narrated to us, saying: Yazīd ibn Hārūn narrated to us, saying: Hammād ibn Salama informed us, from Thābit al-Bunānī, from Abd al-Rahmān ibn Abī ⦗1010⦘ Laylā, from Suhayb, who reported that the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said:

“When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, they will be called: ‘O people of Paradise! You have an appointment awaiting you with Allah, Mighty and Majestic, which you have not yet witnessed.’”

They will ask, “What is it? Have You not brightened our faces, removed us far from the Fire, and admitted us into Paradise?”

He said, “Then the veil will be lifted, and they will gaze upon Him—Glorified and Exalted is He. By Allah, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will have given them nothing dearer to them than that.”

Then the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—recited:

“For those who do good is the best reward—and more.” [Jonah: 26]
