600 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd narrated to us, saying: ʿĪsā ibn Hammād Zughbah narrated to us, saying: Al-Layth ibn Saʿd informed us, from Khālid ibn Yazīd, from Saʿīd ibn Abī Hilāl, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from ʿAtā ibn Yasār, from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: We asked, “O Messenger of Allah, will we see our Lord, Mighty and Majestic?” The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, replied, “Do you have any difficulty seeing the sun on a cloudless day?” We said, “No.” He asked, “Do you have any difficulty seeing the moon on the night of the full moon—or did he say, ‘when it is clear’?” We said, “No.” He said, “You will have no difficulty seeing your Lord, Mighty and Majestic, on that Day, just as you have no difficulty seeing either of them.”
