599 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd also narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Musaffā narrated to us, saying ⦗1005⦘: Suwayd ibn Abd al-Azīz narrated to us, saying: Al-Awzāʿī narrated to us, from Hassān ibn Atiyyah, from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib, who said: Abū Hurayrah met me and said, “I ask Allah to bring you and me together in the marketplace of Paradise.” I asked, “Is there a marketplace there?” He replied, “Yes. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, informed me:
“When the people of Paradise enter it, they will take up their stations according to the merit of their deeds. They will then be granted permission for a period equivalent to one Friday among the days of this world, during which they will visit Allah, Mighty and Majestic. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will come forth to them from His Throne and appear before them in one of the meadows of Paradise. Pulpits of light, pearl, ruby, gold, and silver will be set up for them. The lowest-ranking among them—and none of them is lowly ⦗1006⦘—will sit upon dunes of musk and camphor, without regarding those seated on chairs as having a better place than theirs.”
Abū Hurayrah said: I asked, “O Messenger of Allah, will we see our Lord?” He replied, “Yes. Do you have any doubt about seeing the sun, and the moon on the night when it is full?” We said, “No.” He said, “Likewise, you will have no doubt about seeing your Lord, Mighty and Majestic.” He then related the hadith in full.
