596 — Abū Bakr Jaʿfar ibn Muhammad al-Firyābī informed us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abī ʿUmar al-Makkī narrated to us, saying: Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us, from Suhayl ibn Abī Sālih, from his father, from Abū Hurayrah, who said: They asked, “O Messenger of Allah, will we see our Lord, Mighty and Majestic, on the Day of Resurrection?” He replied, “Do you experience any difficulty in seeing the sun at midday when it is not obscured by cloud?” They said, “No.” He asked, “Then do you experience any difficulty in seeing the moon on the night when it is full, when it is not obscured by cloud?” They said, “No.” He said, “By Him in whose hand is my soul, you will experience no difficulty in seeing your Lord, just as you experience no difficulty in seeing either of them.”
