Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd also narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ma‘mar ⦗1000⦘ narrated to us, saying: Rawh ibn ‘Ubādah narrated to us, saying: Shu‘bah narrated to us.

Abū Bakr al-Naysābūrī also narrated to us, saying: Abū al-Azhar narrated to us, saying: Rawh narrated to us concerning the words of Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He: “Glorify your Lord with praise before sunrise and before sunset” [Tā Hā: 130]. He said: Shu‘bah narrated to us, saying: I heard Ismā‘īl ibn Abī Khālid say: I heard Qays ibn Abī Hāzim say: I heard Jarīr ibn ‘Abd Allah say: We were with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on the night of the full moon, and he said: “You will indeed see your Lord—Glorified and Exalted is He—just as you see this moon, with none of you being denied the sight of Him. So if you are able to ensure that you are not kept from ⦗1001⦘ these two prayers, before sunrise and before sunset, then do so.” He then recited this verse: “Glorify your Lord with praise before sunrise and before sunset” [Qāf: 39]. This is the wording of al-Naysābūrī’s hadith.
