584 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd also narrated to us; he said: Yaqub ibn Sufyān and Dāwūd ibn Sulaymān narrated to us that Abū Nuaym al-Fadl ibn Dukayn narrated to them, from Salamah ibn Sābūr, from Atiyyah, from Ibn Abbas, concerning the words of Allah Most High, “Faces on that Day will be radiant” [al-Qiyāmah: 22]—meaning, “beautiful”—“gazing upon their Lord” [al-Qiyāmah: 23]. He said: “They gazed upon the Creator, Glorious and Exalted is He.”
