573 — Abu Bakr ibn Abī Dāwud al-Sijistānī narrated to us: Yūsuf ibn Mūsā al-Qattān narrated to us: Jarīr—that is, ibn Abd al-Hamīd—narrated to us, from Yazīd ibn Abī Ziyād, from Abd Allah ibn al-Hārith, from Ka'b al-Ahbār, who said, “Whenever Allah Most High looks upon Paradise, He says, ‘Become delightful for your inhabitants,’ and it becomes twice what it was, until its inhabitants come to it. For every day that was a festival for them in this world, they will go out for a corresponding length of time among the gardens of Paradise. The Lord Most High will then appear before them, and they will gaze upon Him. The wind will waft musk and perfume over them, and they will ask their Lord Most High for nothing but that He grants it to them. They will return having increased seventyfold in beauty and comeliness. Then they will return to their spouses, who will have ⦗984⦘ increased by the same measure.”
