551 — Abū ʿAbd Allāh Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Shāhīn narrated to us, saying: ⦗955⦘ ʿAmmār ibn Khālid al-Wāsitī narrated to us, saying: Marhūm ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-ʿAttār narrated to us, saying: I heard my father and my paternal uncle say, “We heard al-Hasan forbid people to sit in the company of Maʿbad al-Juhanī,” and say, “Do not sit with him.” He said: My father said, “At that time, I knew of no one who spoke about the divine decree other than Maʿbad and a man from the Persian cavalry corps named Shīshanawayh.”
