533 — Al-Firyābī informed us, saying: Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shayba narrated to us, saying: ⦗938⦘ Wakīʿ narrated to us, from Sufyān al-Thawrī, from Dāwūd ibn Abī Hind, who related: “Ezra asked his Lord Most High about divine decree. He said, ‘You have questioned Me about My knowledge. Your punishment is that I shall not name you among the prophets.’”
