493—Al-Firyābī informed us, saying: Ishāq ibn Sayyār narrated to me, saying: ⦗904⦘ Abd Allah ibn Sālih narrated to us, saying: Muāwiya ibn Sālih narrated to us, from Damra ibn Habīb, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr, who said: “Indeed, Allah Most High had His Throne upon the water. He created the Pen, and it wrote all that He would create and all that would come to pass until the Day of Resurrection. Then that record glorified Allah and magnified Him for a thousand years before Allah Most High began creating anything whatsoever.”
