489 — Al-Firyābī informed us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abī Bakr al-Muqaddamī narrated to us, saying: ʿAbd al-Rahmān ibn Mahdī narrated to us, from Sufyān, from Mansūr, from Ibrāhīm, regarding the words of Allah Most High: “You cannot lead anyone astray through it except one who is destined to burn in Hellfire” [al-Sāffāt 37:163]. He said: “You cannot lead anyone astray except one for whom it has been decreed that he will burn in Hellfire.”
