486 — Al-Firyābī informed us, saying: Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah narrated to us, saying: Wakīʿ narrated to us, from Sufyān, from Sālim ibn Abī Hafsah, from Muhammad ibn Kaʿb al-Qurazī, concerning His words, Mighty and Majestic: “Indeed, We have created everything according to a decree” [al-Qamar: 49]. He said: “It was revealed as a reproach to those who deny divine decree.”
