468 — Abū Abd Allāh Ahmad ibn al-Hasan ibn Abd al-Jabbār ⦗886⦘ al-Sūfī also informed us, saying: Muhammad ibn Bakkār narrated to us, saying: Ismāīl ibn Zakariyyā narrated to us, from Āsim al-Ahwal, who said: I heard al-Hasan say, “Whoever denies predestination has denied the truth twice over. Allah has decreed creation, an appointed term, affliction, calamity, and well-being. Thus, whoever denies predestination has denied the Quran.”
Muhammad ibn al-Husayn said: The Qadariyya’s claim concerning al-Hasan is thereby refuted, for they allege that he is their imam. They deceive the people and tell lies about al-Hasan. They have indeed gone far astray and suffered a manifest loss.
٤٦٨ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ⦗٨٨٦⦘ الصُّوفِيُّ قَالَ: نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ يَقُولُ: " مَنْ كَذَّبَ بِالْقَدَرِ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَ بِالْحَقِّ مَرَّتَيْنٍ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدَّرَ خَلْقًا، وَقَدَّرَ أَجَلًا، وَقَدَّرَ بَلَاءً، وَقَدَّرَ مُصِيبَةً، وَقَدَّرَ مُعَافَاةً، فَمَنْ كَذَّبَ بِالْقَدَرِ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَ بِالْقُرْآنِ قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ: بَطَلَتْ دَعْوَى الْقَدَرِيَّةِ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ، إِذْ زَعَمُوا أَنَّهُ إِمَامُهُمْ، يُمَوِّهُونَ عَلَى النَّاسِ، وَيَكْذِبُونَ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ، لَقَدْ ضَلُّوا ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًا، وَخَسِرُوا خُسْرَانًا مُبِينًا
