46 — Ibn Abd al-Hamīd also narrated to us, saying: Ibn al-Muqri narrated to us, saying ⦗344⦘: Sufyān narrated to us, from Ubayd Allah ibn Abī Yazīd, who said: I heard Ibn Abbās when the Kharijites, their devotion, and their prayers were mentioned to him. He said, “They are no more devoted than the Jews and Christians, yet they are astray.”
٤٦ - حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ أَيْضًا قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ قَالَ ⦗٣٤٤⦘: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَذُكِرَ لَهُ الْخَوَارِجُ وَاجْتِهَادُهُمْ وَصَلَاتُهُمْ، قَالَ: «لَيْسَ هُمْ بِأَشَدَّ اجْتِهَادًا مِنَ الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى، وَهُمْ عَلَى ضَلَالَةٍ»
