454 — Al-Firyābī informed us, saying: Ahmad ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us, saying: Bahz ibn Asad narrated to us ⦗874⦘, saying: Shuʿba narrated to us, saying: Abū Hāshim narrated to us, from Mujāhid, from ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAbbās, who said: “If I saw one of them, I would seize him by the hair”—meaning the Qadarites. Shuʿba said: “I related this to Abū Bishr, and he said: ‘I heard Mujāhid say’—and Mujāhid drew himself up as if to rise—‘They were mentioned in Ibn ʿAbbās’s presence, whereupon he poised himself to spring up and said: If I saw one of them, I would bite his nose.’”
