450 — Al-Firyābī informed us, saying: Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shayba narrated to us, saying: Wakīʿ narrated to us, from Hanzala, from Tāwūs, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: “Caution is of no avail against divine decree, but supplication repels divine decree.”
