406 — Al-Firyābī also informed us, saying: Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shayba narrated to us, saying: Wakīʿ narrated to us, from Talha ibn Yahyā, from his paternal aunt, Aisha bint Talha, from Aisha, Mother of the Believers, may Allah be pleased with her, who said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was summoned to the funeral of a young boy so that he might pray over him. I said, “O ⦗824⦘ Messenger of Allah, blessed is he! A little bird among the birds of Paradise: he neither committed evil nor knew it.” He replied, “Or might it be otherwise, O Aisha? Allah Most High created people for Paradise and created them for it while they were still in their fathers’ loins; and He created people for the Fire and created them for it while they were still in their fathers’ loins.”
