405 — Al-Firyābī also informed us, saying: Ishāq ibn Rāhawayh narrated to us, saying: Baqiyya ibn al-Walīd informed us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ziyād al-Alhānī narrated to me, saying: Abd Allah ibn ⦗823⦘ Abī Qays narrated to us, saying: Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, narrated to me, and I asked her about the children of the polytheists. She replied: “I asked the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, about them, and he said, ‘They are with their fathers.’” She asked, “O Messenger of Allah, even though they have no deeds?” He replied, “Allah knew best what they would have done.”
