388 – Abū Muhammad Yahyā ibn Muhammad ibn Sā'id narrated to us: al-Abbās ibn al-Walīd ibn Mazyad narrated to us in Beirut: Muhammad ibn Shuayb ibn Shābūr informed us: Umar ibn Yazīd al-Nasrī, who was from Damascus, informed me, from Amr ibn Muhājir, commander of Ibn Abd al-Azīz’s guard, from Umar ibn Abd al-Azīz, from Yahyā ibn al-Qāsim, from his father, from his grandfather, Abd Allah ibn Amr ibn al-Ās al-Sahmī, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: “No nation ever perished except through associating partners with Allah, and no nation ever associated partners with Allah without its association beginning with the denial of divine decree.”
