387 – Al-Firyābī also informed us: Safwān ibn Sālih narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Shuayb narrated to us: Umar ibn Yazīd al-Dimashqī informed us: Amr ibn Muhājir informed me, from Umar ibn Abd al-Azīz, from Yahyā ibn al-Qāsim, from his father, from his grandfather, Abd Allah ibn Amr ibn al-Ās, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “No nation ever perished except through associating partners with Allah, and no nation ever associated partners with Allah except that its initial act of association was to deny divine decree.”
