370 — Abū ʿAbd Allāh Muhammad ibn Makhlad al-ʿAttār narrated to us, saying: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ayyūb al-Makhramī narrated to us, saying: ʿAbd al-Rahīm ibn Hārūn al-Ghassānī narrated to us, saying: ⦗790⦘ Nasr ibn Tarīf narrated to us, from Qatāda, from Abū Hassān, from Nājiya ibn Kaʿb, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd, from the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—who said:

“Allah created John son of Zechariah as a believer in his mother’s womb, and Allah—glorious is His Majesty—created Pharaoh as a disbeliever in his mother’s womb.”
