318 — Al-Firyābī informed us, saying: Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shayba narrated to us, saying: Wakī narrated to us, from Sufyān—that is, al-Thawrī—from Sālim ibn Abī Hafsa, from Muhammad ibn Kab al-Qurazī, regarding the words of Allah Most High, “Taste the touch of Saqar! Indeed, We created all things according to a decree” [al-Qamar: 49]. He said: “It was revealed as a rebuke to the Qadariyya.”
