darkness. Allah causes whomever He wills to stray and places whomever He wills upon a straight path.”

He also says:

“Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord. There is no deity except Him. And turn away from the polytheists. Had Allah willed, they would not have associated partners with Him. We have not appointed you as a keeper over them, nor are you their trustee.” [al-An'ām: 107]

He also says:

“Even if We had sent down the angels to them, the dead had spoken to them, and We had gathered all things before them face to face, they still would not have believed unless Allah so willed. But most of them are ignorant.” [al-An'ām: 111]

Allah Most High says in Surah Hūd:

“Had your Lord willed, He would have made humanity one community. Yet they will continue to differ, except those upon whom your Lord has mercy—and for that He created them. The word of your Lord has been fulfilled: ‘I will surely fill Hell with jinn and humanity all together.’” [Hūd: 118]

الظُّلُمَاتِ مَنْ يَشَأِ اللَّهُ يُضْلِلْهُ وَمَنْ يَشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ﴾ وَقَالَ تَعَالَى: ﴿اتَّبِعْ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ، وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مَا أَشْرَكُوا وَمَا جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيلٍ﴾ [الأنعام: ١٠٧] وَقَالَ تَعَالَى: ﴿وَلَوْ أَنَّنَا نَزَّلْنَا إِلَيْهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ، وَكَلَّمَهُمُ الْمَوْتَى وَحَشَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ قُبُلًا، مَا كَانُوا لِيُؤْمِنُوا إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَ﴾ [الأنعام: ١١١] وَقَالَ تَعَالَى فِي سُورَةِ هُودٍ: ﴿وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ النَّاسَ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَا يَزَالُونَ مُخْتَلِفِينَ إِلَّا مَنْ رَحِمَ رَبُّكَ وَلِذَلِكَ خَلَقَهُمْ وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ﴾ [هود: ١١٨]
