Chapter: Allah’s Declaration That He Leads Astray Whomever He Wills and Guides Whomever He Wills, and That the Prophets Guide Only Those Whom It Was Already Established in Allah’s Knowledge That He Would Guide

Allah, Glorious and Exalted, says in Sūrat al-Nisā:

“Why are you divided into two groups concerning the hypocrites, when Allah has cast them back because of what they earned? Do you wish to guide those whom Allah has led astray? Whoever Allah leads astray, you will never find a way for him.” [al-Nisā: 88]

Allah, Glorious and Exalted, also says in this surah, after mentioning the hypocrites:

“Wavering between the two—belonging neither to these nor to those. Whoever Allah leads astray, you will never find a way for him.” [al-Nisā: 143]

He, Glorious and Exalted, says in Sūrat al-An'ām:

“Those who reject Our signs are deaf and dumb, lost in darkness. Allah leads astray whomever He wills, and places whomever He wills upon a straight path.”

He, Glorious and Exalted, also says in Sūrat al-An'ām:

“Say, ‘The conclusive proof belongs to Allah. Had He willed, He would have guided you all.’” [al-An'ām: 149]

He, Glorious and Exalted, says in Sūrat al-A'rāf:

“Whoever Allah leads astray has no guide, and He leaves them wandering blindly in their transgression.” [al-A'rāf
