He said: I also heard Ahmad say: I heard Yahyā ibn Saʿīd say, “None of our companions whom I met—and none about whom I heard—failed to qualify his declaration of faith by saying, ‘If Allah wills.’” He also said: Yahyā said, “Faith consists of words and deeds.”
