I also heard Abū Abd Allāh say, “Wakīʿ narrated to us, saying: Sufyān said, ‘In our view, people are believers as far as legal rulings and inheritance are concerned, but no one knows their standing before Allah Most High. We hope that we are believers in His sight as well.’”
