28 — Abū Bakr ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Hamīd al-Wāsitī also narrated to us. He said: Zuhayr ibn Muhammad al-Marwazī narrated to us. He said: Ahmad ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Yūnus narrated to us. He said: Abū Bakr ibn ‘Ayyāsh narrated to us, from Mūsā ibn ‘Ubayda, from a daughter of Sa‘d, ⦗314⦘ from her father, Sa‘d—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The Children of Israel split into seventy-one sects. Days and nights will not pass before my nation splits into the same number—or he said something similar to that. Every one of those sects will be in the Fire except one: the main body.”
