Abū Abd Allah Ahmad ibn al-Hasan ibn Abd al-Jabbār al-Sūfī informed us, saying: Abū al-Rabī al-Zahrānī narrated to us, saying: Hammād ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Baqiyyah ibn al-Walīd, from Muān ibn Rifāah, from Ibrāhīm ibn Abd al-Rahmān al-Udhrī, who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said: “This knowledge will be borne in every succeeding generation by its upright members, who will remove from it the distortions of extremists, the false claims of falsifiers, and the misinterpretations of the ignorant.”
