255 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd narrated to us, saying: Yazīd ibn Abd al-Samad narrated to us, saying: Ādam—that is, Ibn Abī Iyās—narrated to us, saying: Abū Jafar al-Rāzī narrated to us, from al-Rabī ibn Anas, from Abū al-Āliya, concerning the words of Allah Most High: “Those are the ones who have been true.” [al-Baqara: 177] He said: “They professed faith in words and confirmed it through deeds.”
