the road, those who ask, and the freeing of slaves; who establishes prayer and gives zakat; those who fulfill their covenant when they make one; and those who remain patient in poverty and affliction” [al-Baqara: 177], continuing to His words, Most High: “those mindful of Allah” [al-Baqara: 177]. Muhammad ibn al-Husayn said: Abu Dharr asked the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—about faith, so he recited this verse to him.
