230 — Abū Nasr also narrated to me, saying: Abū Bakr narrated to us, saying: Ahmad narrated to us ⦗598⦘, saying: Wakīʿ narrated to us, from al-Fadl ibn Dalham, from al-Hasan, who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said, “No one drinks wine while still a believer at the time he drinks it. Allah strips him of the light of faith just as one of you takes off his shirt; then, if he repents, Allah accepts his repentance.”
