223 — Ibn Abd al-Hamīd narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn al-Muthannā narrated to us, saying: Abū Dāwūd—meaning al-Tayālisī—narrated to us, saying: Shuba narrated to us, saying: Firās informed me, saying: I heard Mudrik ibn Umāra narrate from Ibn Abī Awfā—meaning Abd Allah—that the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—said, “A person does not engage in unlawful sexual intercourse while doing so and remain a believer; nor does he drink wine while doing so and remain a believer.”
