221 — Abū Shuayb Abd Allah ibn al-Hasan al-Harrānī also narrated to us, saying: Alī ⦗589⦘ ibn al-Jad narrated to us, saying: Sufyān informed us, from al-Amash, from Dhakwān, from Abū Hurayra, from the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—who said, “A thief does not steal while doing so and remain a believer; nor does a person engage in unlawful sexual intercourse while doing so and remain a believer; nor does he drink wine while doing so and remain a believer. Yet repentance remains available thereafter.”
