2041 — Abū al-Fadl also narrated to us, saying: Ibrāhīm ibn al-Muhallab al-Zuhrī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Kathīr al-Missīsī narrated to us, saying: al-Awzāī narrated to us, from Qatāda, from Anas ibn Mālik, who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said: “The adherents of religious innovations are the worst of creation and of all creatures.”
