Umar ibn Ayyūb al-Saqatī narrated to us, saying: al-Hasan ibn Arafa narrated to us, saying: Abū Muāwiya al-Darīr narrated to us, from Abū Janāb al-Kalbī, from Abū Sulaymān ⦗2518⦘ al-Hamdānī, from Alī—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: “Toward the end of time, a people will emerge who bear a sobriquet: they will be called al-Rāfida (the Rejectors). They will claim to be among our followers, but they are not among our followers. The sign of this is that they will revile Abū Bakr and Umar. Wherever you encounter them, kill them, for they are polytheists.”
