Abū Muhammad Abd Allah ibn Sālih al-Bukhārī informed us, saying: al-Qāsim ibn Abī Bazza narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Muāwiya narrated to us, saying: Yahyā ibn Sābiq al-Madīnī narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from his father, from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “O Alī, you are in Paradise”—he said this three times—“and after me there will come a people known by a sobriquet. They will be called ⦗2514⦘ al-Rāfida (the Rejectors). When you encounter them, kill them, for they are polytheists.”

He asked, “What will be their distinguishing sign, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied, “They acknowledge neither the Friday prayer nor congregational prayer, and they revile Abū Bakr and Umar.”
