2002 — Ibn Abd al-Hamīd also narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Yahyā ⦗2507⦘ al-Azdī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn al-Qāsim al-Asadī narrated to us, saying: Ubayda ibn Abī Rāyita narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik ibn Abd al-Rahmān, from Iyād al-Ansārī, who said: The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings of Allah be upon him—said: “Honor me by honoring my Companions and those related to me by marriage. Whoever honors me by honoring my Companions and those related to me by marriage, Allah will safeguard him in this world and the Hereafter. But whoever fails to honor me by honoring my Companions and those related to me by marriage, Allah—Mighty and Majestic—will abandon him and may soon seize him.”
Muhammad ibn al-Husayn—may Allah have mercy on him—said: Utterly disappointed and lost is the one who reviles the Companions of the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings of Allah be upon him—for he has disobeyed Allah ⦗2508⦘ and His Messenger, and the curse of Allah—Mighty and Majestic—His Messenger, the angels, and all the believers has fallen upon him. Allah accepts from him neither obligatory nor voluntary worship. He is humiliated in this world and held in low esteem. May Allah fill the graves with such people and leave the homes empty of them.
