1998 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd also narrated to us, saying: ʿAbd Allah ibn Saʿīd Abū Saʿīd al-Ashajj and ʿAmr ibn ʿAbd Allah al-Awdī narrated to us; they both said: Wakīʿ narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from Abū Sālih, from Abū Saʿīd, who said: The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings of Allah be upon him—said: “Do not revile my Companions. By Him in whose hand is my soul, even if one of you were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud, he would not attain the measure of a mudd given by one of them, nor even half of it.”
