1982—Abū Hafs Umar ibn Ayyūb al-Saqatī narrated to me, saying: Yaʿqūb ibn Ibrāhīm al-Dawraqī narrated to us, saying: Yahyā ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, from Sufyān, who said: Sulaymān al-Aʿmash narrated to me, from Abū Wāʾil, from Abū Maysara, who said: “In a dream, I saw pavilions pitched amid gardens. I asked, ‘For whom are these?’ They replied, ‘For Dhū al-Kalāʿ and his companions.’ I then saw other pavilions amid gardens and asked, ‘For whom are these?’ They replied, ‘For Ammār and his companions.’ I asked, ‘How can that be, when they killed one another?’ He replied, ‘They found Allah—Glorious and Exalted—to be boundless in forgiveness.’”
