1980—Abū Abd Allah ibn Makhlad al-Attār narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ismāīl al-Hasanī narrated to us, saying: Abū Yahyā al-Himmānī narrated to us, from al-Hasan ibn Umāra, from al-Hakam ibn Utayba, from Miqsam, from Ibn Abbās, who said: “Allah—Mighty and Majestic—commanded that forgiveness be sought for the Companions of Muhammad—peace and blessings be upon him—though He knew that they would fight one another.”
