1969 – Abū Bakr Qāsim ibn Zakariyyā al-Mutarriz narrated to us, saying: Amr ibn Ali, Bundār, and Ibn Sinān narrated to us. They said: Abd al-Rahmān ibn Mahdī narrated to us, saying: Abū Ahmad—that is, al-Zubayrī—narrated to us.
1970 – Al-Mutarriz said: Yaqūb al-Dawraqī also narrated to us, saying: Wakī narrated to us.
1971 – Al-Mutarriz said: Ahmad ibn Manī narrated to us, saying: Abū Ahmad—that is, al-Zubayrī—narrated to us. Al-Mutarriz said: Yūsuf al-Qattān also narrated to us, saying: Abū Nuaym narrated to us. All of them narrated from Sufyān al-Thawrī, from Abū Ishāq, from Hāni ibn Hāni, from Ali—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: Ammār came to seek permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—so he said, “Admit him. Welcome to the pure and purified one.”
