1958 — Abū Muhammad ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Nājiya informed us, saying: Abū ʿAmr ʿUthmān ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAmr ibn ʿUthmān ibn ʿAffān narrated to us, saying: ʿAbd Allah ibn Lahīʿa said: I heard Abū al-Zubayr relate from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allah, who said:
“One day, we were with Muʿāwiya. Quraysh, the leading men of the Arabs, and their clients were seated on the floor below his couch, while ʿAqīl ibn Abī Tālib and al-Hasan ibn ʿAlī—may Allah be pleased with them both—were at his right and left.”
١٩٥٨ - أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نَاجِيَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الزُّبَيْرِ , يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: كُنَّا يَوْمًا عِنْدَ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَقَدْ تَفَرَّشَتْ قُرَيْشٌ وَصَنَادِيدُ الْعَرَبِ وَمَوَالِيهَا أَسْفَلَ سَرِيرِهِ وَعَقِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ﵃ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَيَسَارِهِ
