1954 – And Ibn Nājiya informed us, saying: Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿīd al-Jawharī narrated to us, saying: Abū Usāma narrated to us, saying: “I heard him when he was asked, ‘Who is superior: Muʿāwiya or ʿUmar ibn ⦗2466⦘ ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz?’ He replied, ‘No one can be compared to the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.’”
