1939 — And Ibn Nājiya informed us, saying: Ahmad ibn Abd al-Rahmān ibn Mufaddal al-Harrānī narrated to us, saying: Miskīn ibn Bukayr narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn al-Muhājir, from Rabīʿa ibn Yazīd, who said: Abū Kabsha said: Sahl ibn al-Hanzaliyya narrated to us, saying: Uyayna ibn Badr and al-Aqra ibn Hābis came before the Messenger of Allah and made a request of him. He ordered that they be given what they had requested, and instructed Muāwiya—may Allah be pleased with him—to write a document to that effect for them. He did so and handed each of them his document. Uyayna said, “How am I to go to my people carrying a document whose contents I do not know, like the document of al-Mutalammis?” Sahl said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—took his document and looked at it, then said, “He has written in it for you what I instructed him to grant you.”
