1934 — Ibn Nājiya informed us, saying: Rawh ibn al-Faraj al-Mukharrimī narrated to us, saying: Ibrāhīm ibn Abān al-Wāsitī narrated to us, saying: Ibrāhīm ibn Abī Yazīd al-Madanī narrated to me, from Umar ibn Abd Allāh, the client of Ghufra, from Ibn Abbās, who said: Gabriel—peace be upon him—came to the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—while Muāwiya—may Allah be pleased with him—was with him, writing. He said, “O Muhammad, this scribe of yours is indeed trustworthy.”
